Small Group Leaders:
Your role this year is very similar to last year, with a few important updates. During your 25-minute small group time, your primary focus will be teaching, reviewing, and helping children memorize the daily Bible verse. If a child can successfully recite the previous day’s verse, their name should be added to the raffle drawing for Friday night.
You will also divide your group into smaller “crews” of 4–5 children per leader/teen helper. While you will move together as one group, these smaller crews allow for more intentional interaction. Teens will help lead within these crews, but adult leaders are the primary point people for each grade level.
I’ve attached the Leader Guide for your reference. Please note:
The guide refers to multi-age crews—we will not be using that model, so you can skip that section.
The stations you’ll rotate through are Imagination Station, Crafts, and Games.
The Bible Station will take place during large group time, not in small groups.
The full schedule will be distributed at the training.
The Leader Guide includes many helpful ideas and suggestions. It is not editable, so I’ve left it as is. However, I have copied and attached the Sticky Scripture/Small Group portion separately for your convenience. Please note that we will not be using Day 5.
A quick note about timing: Small group time will also include snack. Snacks will be prepared ahead of time and delivered to your space, so no prep is needed on your end—but it does mean your time is limited. Plan to keep things focused and moving so you can make the most of those 25 minutes.
Thank you for your flexibility and for investing so intentionally in your group of kids!
